Scholarship Program-About the Program

It is a university program for non-native speakers of Arabic, either individuals or groups, to prepare them for studying at universities where the language of instruction is Arabic.

The program offers 20 theoretical courses, which are 60 credits, over 4 semesters for 960 contact hours; each semester is 240 hours.

The first semester is for students who have no prior knowledge of Arabic. A freshman can immediately enroll in the third semester if he passes the equivalency exams for the courses offered in the previous semester.

The program prepares the learners for studying at university in Arabic. It also offers an Arabic major course, enables students to be in touch with the Arab culture and provides them with the experience to teach non-degree Arabic courses for speakers of other languages. The program adheres to using Arabic as the sole medium of instruction whereas the use of L1 in classes is kept to a minimum.
