Abstract : The Detection of an image on t skill of visual recognition in reading the first primary grade pupils called a researcher the following experiment. 21 recognize that the student read the single words were presented together) by: 1 - Words have meaning, but Atelaúm images. 2 - words with the appropriate images. 3 - the word has no meaning associated with the images Words without pictures. Indicated the presence of appropriate images for correct responses than any other case. The situation presented without a picture were the best to acquire the skill of visual recognition in reading, and have had the largest number of responses that enable students to demonstrate,The skills to identify the printed word for consciousness and awareness. The results also indicate that whether the photo negative or positive impact on the skill of visual recognition in reading, this depends on the relationship between the image and the printed word and the parity direct impede the exercise of student skills in reading visual recognition.
