Abstract
:
The present study aims to identify the reality of Management types followed by the secondary schools principals in Jeddah, and also aims to identify styles of thinking and reflection profiles used by the sample of the study. And also aims to identify the differences between management types and styles of thinking in light of some variables such as: specialization, years of experience, number of training courses. And to identify the relation between the management types and styles of thinking to the principals of secondary schools. Scale was developed to identify types followed by the principals of secondary schools in Jeddah. The study also relied on a scale Barmeson and Harrison (Harrison & Bramson, 1952) to identify styles of thinking and thinking profiles of school principals in Jeddah. One of the main results of the study that more Management type common in the study sample is democratic, followed by the autocratic style, and finally Laissez-fair. The results indicated that the method of analytical thinking is the most common style to the study sample, followed by a pragmatist style, then the ideal style, and synthetic style and realistic in equal proportion Results revealed that the profile of thinking that is common for the study sample is one dimension thinking, followed by two dimensions thinking, flat profile came in third, while the profile of a three-dimension in thinking came the fourth . . As evidenced by the results of the study that there is no statistically significant differences in the patterns of administrative as well as styles of thinking according to specialization, years of experience, and the number of sessions training.. Results also have shown a number of relations between management types and styles of thinking.
