Scholarship Program-Specifications and Criteria

The program is keen to adopt the best criteria of the programs of teaching foreign languages, so

1. it integrates language with culture; each reinforcing the other;
2. all courses focus upon the different language skills, i.e. listening, speaking, reading and writing;
3. the program gives students the opportunity to practice the language in the best way;
4. the program is keen to teach Arabic without relying on students’ L1;
5. the program provides its students with an authentic environment suitable for language acquisition such as communicating with Arabs and getting involved into the society;
6. the program gives the learner an opportunity to focus on a certain discipline by choosing what he is interested in among texts that pertain to history, mass media, politics or economics; and
7. the diploma qualifies the learner to proceed with studying in Arabic for four academic years or more if he wishes.
